Corps of Engineers Completed GRR
» Report Approved on 2.20.06 «

The Greens Bayou Federal Project GRR is complete.
On February 20, 2006, the completed General Reevaluation Study (GRR) was approved by the Division Commander at the Southwestern Division of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).  The purpose of this study was to investigate measures to reduce flood damage losses occurring along Greens Bayou within Harris County, Texas.   The completed and approved report is available to download through the link on this page.  Although the GRR has been approved, funding for the construction of the project must be provided through the federal budget process. The USACE has requested funds to initiate construction, however actual construction will depend on receipt of appropriated funds from Congress. The USACE will continue to work on final engineering design leading to plans and specifications for the first construction contract. They will also develop the Project Cooperation Agreement with the Local Sponsor if funds are budgeted.    Additional Project Background Information  »
